Facilities & Rooms

The Playrooms

1-3 Department

The 1-3s have a large, bright room with plenty to see and do, separated by a maisonette wall. We have the 1-2 Room, which holds 6 children and our 2-3 Room, which holds 10. The gate allows for easy transitions between the rooms. There is a range of areas offered from a cosy story area, construction, small world, role playing in the home corner and the opportunity for the children to explore their physical skills with our slides.

The 1-3 department has access to a variety of prams which help the children to explore our local community, along with a private changing area and children’s toilets to help them with their toilet training journey.

Children are offered the chance to nap throughout the day on mats or in a travel cot, depending on how best your child settles.

3-5 Room

The 3-5s have a well-resourced room which centres on free choice and around children’s interests. The areas range from construction, role play, loose parts, an art area, playdough station and they also have a separate quiet room, where the children can have time to read stories alone or with a member of staff.

The 3-5 Room have a separate dining room downstairs which they access for mealtimes, ensuring there is no disruption of their play when they finish their meals, there are toilets upstairs they can use throughout the day and then an additional set of toilets downstairs should they need to access the bathroom during meals.

They are given the chance to regularly explore the outdoors and have built strong links with the local community to support this.
